Create Dynamic Content on Squidoo

It is really easy to create Dynamic content on Squidoo. Squidoo actually comes with Modules like Amazon, Ebay and Google that allow you to create dynamic content. Google Blog Search - Another Great Reason To Have an RSS Newsletter

Google recently announced a Beta Version of their Blog Search Engine. Blogs are the perfect tool for a Newsletter publisher and now that Google allows users to Search Blogs their really is no better medium to publish your Newsletter (AKA Ezine) then an Online Blog with an RSS Feed.


Creating an RSS or Blog is simple here are the 4 steps to follow.

1 - Select a Topic

You need to select a topic for your Newletter. The following questions should enable you to pick many topics

1. What are your Hobbies?
   
2. What do you consider yourself an Expert in?
   
3. What do people seek your advice on?
   
4. What would you like to learn more about?
   

2 - Get a Free Blog

Go to blogger.com and get a free blog. They are owned by Google so you should not have any problems getting indexed by the Google blog search engine.

3 - Write Your First Post

Write your first post is as simple as stating what your newsletter is about and how frequently you plan to post

4 - Never Ending Content

Remember you are a newsletter publisher not an author. It is good to create original content once or twice a month but you can republish articles from others for the rest of your content.

Imagine that you own a retail store and someone comes to you with the following proposal. They will come in and stock your store. They will supply the cashier and the sales help. You set the prices for all the merchandise in your store. You only pay them the wholesale price after the item is sold. They take all the risk you get all the Reward.

That's a pretty good deal. Your only real expense is the store rent, and utilities. You have no inventory cost. No employee cost. You don't even need to be at the store to manage it because you only pay the wholesale price for items that are rung up at the cash register. If an item falls on the floor and breaks it's not your problem. If someone steals an item it's not your problem. If it is not rung up at the cash register you don't pay.

Does a deal like that really exist? No actually it doesn't exist at least not to my knowledge. If a deal like that did exist you would take it, wouldn't you? Actually a deal that is much better then that does exist.

It is called drop shipping. Imagine you have an online store with over 90,000 items to sell. You pick the item you want to sell, the Sales page with photo's, shopping cart description is automatically created you for you. The Buyer pays you directly. After you have been paid you send payment to the drop shipper with instructions on what to ship and where. Now imagine that the sales page existed on Ebay you wouldn't even need a website or an online store. Could it get easier then that.

Last Year over 20 Billion Dollars worth of product was sold on Ebay. (Yes Biilion with a "B"). Many people are earning $10,000 or more selling on Ebay. Many more would like to sell

Hurricane Katrina - What Went Wrong?

Hurricane Katrina is a terrible tragedy. Some will say the lack of action by the Federal, State and local governments is a bigger tragedy. The Mayor of New Orleans was on a Radio Show blasting the Federal and State bureaucracies.

It appears now that the Federal troops are in place and the looting and rioting has stopped. The vast majority of people left in the Hurricane Katrina disaster area have been evacuated. The process has started to fix the levees and dry out New Orleans.

It is very easy to point fingers. It is very easy for the State Governments to say it is the fault of the National Governments. Unfortunately these mistakes and the delays in getting aid to New Orleans has probably cost the Lives of hundreds if not thousands of people. The bigger tragedy would be to not learn from the mistakes that were made and make the same mistakes in a future disaster.

A task force needs to be created to study what mistakes were made. This task force needs to determine what was done right and what can be done better. This task force needs to point out what was done wrong and what steps need to be taken to fix it without any finger pointing. It would be a far greater tragedy to not learn from the mistakes and have them repeated in a future natural disaster.

It appears that allot of the problems revolved around a federal law designed to protect the states. This law states that Federal troops cannot be used unless requested by the state governor. There may need to be revisions in this law that allows federal troops to be deployed for a short period of time without the governors request under very specific terms with proper checks and balances.

Beware of The Pirated Software E-Mail Scams!

You have gotten those E_Mails buy software at deep discounts. It is very tempting to save 85% to 95% on your favorite Software Titles. Why would you pay $279 for Windows XP when you can pay $49. Most of the times these are Pirated copies of the Software. You can run into huge problems later when you seek upgrades, Support or Security patches.

Anyone can rationalize buying Pirated software. Who are you hurting? Bill Gates is so rich he can afford to loose a few sales. No you won't hurt Bill Gates to much. But what about the Microsoft Employee with a wife and a Child or 2. If Microsoft looses enough sales tom these pirates who do you think will be laid off. The Working Man with a wife and children to support. The single mom trying to make a better life for her and her children. People much like you are going to suffer the most.

If ethics alone are not enough to keep you from buying pirated software how about the fact that Microsoft is now verifying that you have a legal copy of their software before they allow you to download updates. Updates that are often meant to plug security holes in the software that leave your computers fair prey for worms. Viruses and Adware.

You will want those security updates. Buying Pirated software will cost you more in the long run because you will need to buy a Microsoft version to get support and upgrades
